Dr.Jaya Upadhyay is an Assistant Professor in the department of Humanities and Liberal Arts. Dr.Jaya received her M.A. and PhD in English from the University of Lucknow in 2012 and 2019, respectively. Her research interests are in Consciousness studies and Indian philosophy, namely Advaitic thoughts. She is interested in comparing and contrasting American Transcendentalism with Indian Thought. She is also interested in the area of disability studies. She enjoys delving into the multidisciplinary crosscurrents that exist between literature, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, and other fields. Her studies have appeared in Cinej: Cinema Journal, a publication of the University of Pittsburgh. Her work has also been published by the Banaras Hindu University. Dr.Jaya was awarded the Harrison Middleton University's “Fellowship in Ideas 2021.” One of her poems, “A Clockwork Madness” was published in the University of Lucknow's “Rhetorica” journal, and she has also authored blogs for Harrison Middleton University, Arizona, U.S.A.
