The University got its University status in the year 2013. The research programs at the ECE, DITU had progressed as follows:
Ph.D. Programme started with only seven students Presently thirteen students are enrolled for Ph.D. programme at DITU.
Three students are close to writing their Ph.D. thesis.
Over 50 research papers have been published in high impact Journals.
Few new research labs have been added and some more have been planned.
